HP3 Performance

HP3 specializes in engine rebuilding, restoration, and modification for North American, V-8 engines from the “Classic” era (1960–1980).

• Labour Fee (engine build): $4,500

• Machine work & parts: Not included in labour fee, vary depending on engine and customer choices

• Additional Options:

  • Dynamometer performance testing & graphs: $600

Typically, about 2 weeks after all required parts are delivered to HP3.

1. Customers who already have an engine that requires attention (refresh or rebuild).

2. Customers who need HP3 to source and build an appropriate engine for installation.

An initial consultation (in-person or online) to understand the customer’s goals, engine requirements, and driving habits.

• Cost: FREE

If the customer chooses HP3, the engine is torn down and evaluated to determine the condition of the block and reusable parts.

• Cost: $500 (for evaluation and report)

HP3 recommends required parts based on the customer’s goals. Parts are sourced through HP3’s trusted suppliers.

• Customers purchase parts directly from suppliers (no HP3 markup).

• Reusable parts (if any) from the teardown are incorporated into the build.

No. Machine work is subcontracted, and customers are invoiced directly by the machine shop.

Yes. Engines are broken in at the HP3 shop to ensure proper operation. Customers are encouraged to visit and hear the engine running before final delivery.
